A STUDENT has set a world record as the youngest person to run 100 marathons.
Sophie Goodwin, 21, chalked up her ‘century’ in Deal, Kent — beating the unofficial record holder by 20 days.
‘It is still very surreal that I have actually done it,’ said Sophie, from Norwich, who runs every weekend with her 60-year-old mother Carol — a veteran of 160 marathons.
‘My mum got me into running,’ she said. ‘I remember my first ever two-mile run with my mum, and I was tired after a mile.’
Her next target is a 100-mile run in March — with mum by her side again.
